Man Utd legends fume as two players come under fire after embarrassing Como loss

Manchester United legends Peter Schmeichel and Dimitar Berbatov strongly criticized the squad after Michael Carrick's side suffered an embarrassing 4-1 Champions League defeat to Como in Italy. Schmeichel singled out defenders Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui, pointing out defensive errors and questioning De Ligt starting following a lengthy injury absence. Joshua Zirkzee scored United's only goal as the team conceded three goals before the hour mark.

Manager Michael Carrick took full responsibility for the performance following the final whistle, with only around 100 travelling supporters remaining by full-time. Berbatov remarked that the performance looked like 'men against kids,' noting it will be difficult to defend the players or the manager after United suffered back-to-back Champions League defeats.
