Rangers legend Ally McCoist has urged his former club to secure a loan move for Arsenal's 16-year-old starlet Max Dowman. The teenager has seen limited first-team opportunities under Mikel Arteta this season, though he recently scored twice in a 4-2 Carabao Cup win against Ipswich and appeared as a late substitute in a 3-0 defeat to Brighton.
Arsenal previously rejected a request from Jack Wilshere to sign Dowman for Luton Town. However, Arteta has stated that the club will evaluate Dowman's development every six months, leaving the door open for a potential temporary transfer in the January window.
