Former striker Darren Bent has claimed that Arsenal academy prospect Max Dowman has the potential to become better than club captain Martin Odegaard. The 16-year-old midfielder has already been training with the first team under manager Mikel Arteta. Dowman recently drew significant praise after scoring two goals in an impressive performance against Ipswich Town at Portman Road.
Bent highlighted Dowman's physical presence, dribbling ability, and eye for goal as key attributes that could see him surpass Odegaard. However, the report notes that the youngster still needs to develop his off-the-ball work rate and defensive pressing to fully succeed in Arteta's system.
