Arsenal were linked with a move for a new striker in the summer which led to uncertainty around Viktor Gyokeres' future in north London

Inter Milan chief executive Beppe Marotta has reportedly informed Arsenal that an offer of €100 million (£84.7 million) would not be enough to sign striker Pio Esposito. According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Arsenal made an approach for the forward during the summer transfer window, with reports suggesting Esposito could potentially be viewed as a replacement for Viktor Gyokeres.
Esposito signed a new contract in September running until 2032, significantly increasing his market value for a permanent transfer. The forward has scored two goals in five appearances this season after netting 10 goals across all competitions last term.
