Arsenal reportedly submitted a £55.5 million permanent transfer bid for Bayer Leverkusen defender Jarell Quansah during the previous transfer window. The proposal was rejected by the German club, leading the Gunners to instead complete the signing of Ezri Konsa from Aston Villa.

Despite signing Konsa, Arsenal and Chelsea reportedly remain interested in securing a permanent deal for Quansah. Liverpool also retains a buy-back clause for the England international, who earned a spot under Thomas Tuchel at the 2026 World Cup.
