Arsenal claimed a 2-1 away victory against Liverpool on Sunday afternoon to secure their third Women's Super League win of the season. Alessia Russo opened the scoring for the Gunners in the ninth minute before Beata Olsson quickly leveled for the hosts. Russo then restored Arsenal's advantage on the stroke of halftime by heading home Lisa Baum's cross.
Liverpool pressured for an equalizer throughout the second half, with Jenna Clark earlier seeing a goal ruled out for offside and Cornelia Kapocs missing late chances. Despite Russo missing an opportunity to seal a hat trick, Arsenal held onto their lead to claim all three points.
