Chelsea building weekly scouting reports on Newcastle star as transfer plans emerge

Chelsea are reportedly building weekly scouting reports on Newcastle United midfielder Lewis Miley as part of their long-term transfer plans. According to journalist Simon Phillips, Chelsea are monitoring the 20-year-old alongside Everton's Harrison Armstrong, Fulham's Josh King, and Arsenal's Myles Lewis-Skelly. The Blues have not made an immediate or formal offer for the versatile England Under-21 international, who has already made 89 first-team appearances for Newcastle.

While Bournemouth midfielder Alex Scott remains Chelsea's primary target for a potential permanent transfer in January, Miley is being tracked for future windows. A potential deal for Miley would be complicated and costly, as he signed a six-year contract extension in May that ties him to Newcastle until 2032.
