Chelsea manager Xabi Alonso monitored several players during the international break ahead of their return to club action on October 10. Chelsea winger Pedro Neto assisted former Blues attacker Joao Felix during Portugal's 2-1 victory over Norway in Oslo on Sunday. Felix, who now plays for Al-Nassr, scored his sixth goal of the season across all competitions for club and country.

Elsewhere, Morgan Rogers featured as a substitute in England's 3-2 defeat against Spain at Wembley after Cole Palmer and Reece James were sidelined with injuries. For England Under-21s, Chelsea defender Josh Acheampong scored and assisted in a victory over Kazakhstan U21s, while Jamie Gittens left the match on crutches and faces scans at Cobham.
