Chelsea have been handed a Moises Caicedo injury update ahead of this weekend's Premier League fixture against Bournemouth

Moises Caicedo is making progress toward a return for Chelsea after featuring in a behind-closed-doors friendly against Portsmouth. However, the upcoming Premier League match against Bournemouth is expected to come too soon for the Ecuador midfielder. Caicedo played limited minutes and did not complete a full half during the 2-0 defeat, as Chelsea remain cautious with his ongoing calf problem.
The Blues are determined not to rush Caicedo back until he reaches full fitness to avoid aggravating an injury he re-injured against Brighton. Chelsea have struggled defensively without the midfielder this season, conceding 12 goals across their first five league matches.
