Crystal Palace have made the decision to sack Pierre Sage after losing 3-1 to Liverpool and dropping to 20th in the Premier League table.

Crystal Palace are set to dismiss manager Pierre Sage after just 16 games in charge, according to a report from The Athletic. The decision follows a 3-1 home defeat to Liverpool on Sunday, which left the Eagles 20th in the Premier League table with only two wins from their opening 10 matches. Sage is poised to become the first Premier League managerial departure of the season, with an official club statement expected shortly.
Following the Liverpool defeat, Sage called for squad reinforcements in the upcoming winter transfer window. Palace have conceded 24 goals in 10 league fixtures so far this term. The club's hierarchy will use the November international break to identify a successor, with Thomas Frank, Sean Dyche, Vitor Pereira, Tony Popovic, and Coventry manager Frank Lampard reportedly among the candidates under consideration.
