Everton midfielder Harrison Armstrong was the only Toffees player to feature on Tuesday, coming off the bench as England Under-20s defeated France 2-1 in Spain. The 19-year-old entered in the 59th minute, replacing Trey Nyoni to help preserve a lead secured by goals from Shumaira Mheuka and Mikey Moore. The victory kept England top of the U20 Elite League standings with six points from two games.
Meanwhile, Everton senior trio Jordan Pickford, Jarrad Branthwaite, and James Garner remained unused substitutes in England's 2-0 Nations League win against Czechia in Prague. Manager Thomas Tuchel chose James Trafford in goal over Pickford, while goals from Anthony Gordon and Harry Kane sealed the victory for the senior squad.
