Former Everton set-piece coach Charlie Adam has praised assistant manager Leighton Baines for his coaching acumen and attention to detail. The pair worked together under manager David Moyes in early 2025 after Baines was promoted from Everton's Under-18s to the senior backroom staff.
Speaking to the Liverpool Echo following the Game4Hope charity match at Goodison Park, Adam credited Baines with helping his personal development. The charity match saw a Merseyside XI defeat a Rest of the World side 3-2, with Baines netting the stoppage-time winner.
