Everton unbeaten start under David Moyes draws praise from Alan Smith, while Angus Kinnear’s transfer-window comments add context.

Alan Smith has praised David Moyes and Everton for their strong start to the season after reaching the international break unbeaten in seven matches across all competitions. Speaking to the Liverpool Echo, the former England striker credited the defensive platform established by Moyes, singling out centre-backs James Tarkowski and Jarrad Branthwaite for their resilience.
Everton extended their unbeaten run with a 1-0 victory over Ipswich Town at Hill Dickinson Stadium, courtesy of an early goal from Thierno Barry. The club has maintained five clean sheets in seven matches, which Smith noted is crucial given his belief that Everton may lack an abundance of goals.
