The Friedkin Group are exploring new investment options for Everton, including the potential sale of a controlling interest.

The Friedkin Group announced in a club statement that it is exploring investment options for Everton, including a potential sale of a controlling interest less than two years after completing its takeover. The American ownership consortium stated it will only entertain offers from parties capable of properly taking the Merseyside club forward while continuing to support the team throughout the process.
TFG originally acquired a 99.5 percent shareholding from Farhad Moshiri in late 2024 for over £400 million. Prospective interest has reportedly emerged from Dallas Mavericks coach Jason Kidd and billionaire Christopher Sarofim, amid reports noting Everton manager David Moyes rarely has direct contact with chairman Dan Friedkin.
