The Friedkin Group is expected to seek approximately £1 billion for Everton as it explores the sale of a controlling interest, according to The Athletic's Patrick Boyland. The ownership group previously confirmed that financial firm Moelis & Company was appointed to explore fresh investment or a sale, with initial interest reportedly emerging from the United States.
Despite the potential sale, Boyland reports that The Friedkin Group remains willing to fund a permanent or temporary striker signing in January if the right opportunity arises. Everton are currently limited in attacking options with Thierno Barry serving as manager David Moyes' only recognized senior striker following Beto's departure.
