Everton defeated Birmingham Women 2-1 in Sunday’s WSL clash at Goodison Park.

Everton Women secured a 2-1 victory over Birmingham Women in the Women's Super League at Goodison Park, powered by a brace from Ruby Mace. The result lifted Scott Phelan's side to fifth place in the WSL table. Mace opened the scoring with a top-corner strike after Yuka Momiki hit the post, though Birmingham quickly responded with an equalizer from Oceane Hurtre.
Birmingham remained winless in the league despite testing Everton and having penalty appeals turned down in the second half. Mace eventually secured the victory for the hosts by steering a deflected shot into the bottom corner from the edge of the penalty box.
