Issa Diop escaped what Oliver Glasner called "a clear red card" during Ipswich's 1-1 draw with Nottingham Forest - but the incident split opinion, so was it the right call or not?

Ipswich Town defender Issa Diop avoided a red card following a VAR review for a foul on Nottingham Forest's James McAtee during a 1-1 Premier League draw. Referee Thomas Bramall evaluated the incident at the pitchside monitor and issued only a yellow card, judging that McAtee's touch took the ball away from the goal and did not deny an obvious goal-scoring opportunity.
The decision generated substantial debate, with Nottingham Forest manager Oliver Glasner calling it a clear red card that compromised a scoring chance. In contrast, pundit Ashley Young and Diop defended the ruling, pointing out the covering presence of defender Leif Davis and the likelihood that the ball was running through to the goalkeeper.
