Ipswich Town Under-21s manager John McGreal praised first-team midfielder Jack Taylor after he made his injury comeback in an EFL Trophy match against Peterborough United. Taylor played 60 minutes for the young Blues side during their 4-1 defeat at the Weston Homes Stadium against his former club.

The 28-year-old midfielder had been sidelined since early May after undergoing knee ligament surgery over the summer. McGreal explained that the competitive fixture provided an ideal opportunity to build up Taylor's match fitness following his extended recovery period.
