‘I hope we’re going to beat them’ – Town defender Diop on facing former club Fulham

Ipswich Town defender Issa Diop spoke to the media to preview his team's upcoming Premier League clash at home against his former club, Fulham. The 29-year-old center-back joined Ipswich from Fulham for an £8.5m fee in July after making 96 appearances across four seasons at Craven Cottage. Despite fond memories from his time in West London, Diop stated that his sole focus is helping Ipswich secure a victory.

Diop returned to club action following an extended international break with Morocco, where he featured in three matches. He also praised fellow summer signing Sasa Lukic, who similarly transferred from Fulham to Ipswich, noting that the midfielder's experience and quality have provided a valuable boost to the squad as both clubs adjust to recent managerial changes.
