‘I’m really pleased’ – Goodman praises O’Neil for getting Town ‘competing so well’

Pundit Don Goodman praised Ipswich Town manager Gary O'Neil, stating that the boss deserves significant credit for the club's strong start to the Premier League campaign. Goodman noted he has been impressed with how well O'Neil has prepared the team, as Ipswich won two of their opening five league matches to sit 11th in the standings.

Goodman highlighted O'Neil's prior survival experience managing Bournemouth and Wolverhampton Wanderers as crucial assets for handling relegation pressure. While acknowledging that some supporters may have felt disappointed after Kieran McKenna's departure, Goodman argued that O'Neil is already proving his credentials as a very good manager.
