Town defender bags another clean sheet on international duty

Ipswich Town defender Issa Diop started and secured another clean sheet as Morocco defeated Lesotho 2-0 in AFCON qualifying in Bloemfontein. Diop earned his 11th senior international cap during the victory, having also helped Morocco achieve a 2-0 win over Gabon the previous Friday under manager Mohamed Ouahbi.

Real Madrid forward Brahim Diaz scored the opening goal just before half-time, and Azzedine Ounahi secured the victory with a late second goal. The result moves Morocco to the top of Group A. Diop, who has played every minute for Ipswich Town across five Premier League matches this season, will next face Ghana on October 4.
