Former Liverpool defender shows his appreciation for Arsenal’s performance at Anfield…
Jamie Carragher praised Arsenal as arguably the best defensive team in Europe following their 1-0 Premier League victory over Liverpool at Anfield. Kai Havertz scored the only goal in the 16th minute, securing Arsenal's first league victory at Anfield in 14 years and moving Mikel Arteta's side three points clear of Manchester City at the top of the table.
Speaking on Sky Sports, Carragher commended the Gunners for preventing Liverpool from registering a single shot on target across 17 attempts, despite the absence of defender William Saliba. Carragher compared Arsenal's current defensive unit to the club's celebrated title-winning backline of 1989 and 1991 featuring Tony Adams.
