Enzo Maresca reveals Man City challenge after statement win over Liverpool

Manchester City manager Enzo Maresca challenged his squad to make their own "noise" by winning matches following a 3-0 victory against Liverpool at Anfield. The triumph was City's first fixture since being found guilty by an independent commission of breaching Premier League financial regulations. Maresca praised his players for handling a hostile atmosphere from opposing supporters, who repeatedly taunted the visiting side throughout Sunday's league encounter.

After a goalless first half, Liverpool midfielder Ryan Gravenberch was sent off in the 62nd minute. Manchester City capitalized on the advantage with goals from Erling Haaland, Jeremy Doku, and Rayan Cherki to maintain their perfect start with six wins from six matches. Club executives, including chief executive Ferran Soriano and sporting director Hugo Viana, attended the match in a show of unity as City plans an appeal against the verdict.
