Former Liverpool defender Stephen Warnock has revealed he hid suffering from seizures from the club as a youngster out of fear of being released. Speaking to BBC Radio 5 Live, Warnock explained that he endured epileptic fits for about three years during his youth without knowing what triggered them.
Warnock underwent medical evaluations including CT and MRI scans before ultimately growing out of the condition by age 14 without needing medication. The 44-year-old broadcaster, who made 67 appearances for Liverpool before departing in 2007, noted this was the first time he had spoken publicly about his experiences.
