Harvey Elliott has found himself the centre of debate in Spain while on loan from Liverpool to Valencia

Harvey Elliott is facing growing scrutiny in Spain following his loan move from Liverpool to Valencia earlier this month. The English midfielder debuted as a substitute during a 5-0 home defeat against Barcelona in La Liga. Shortly after the arrival, head coach Carlos Corberan was sacked, leaving veteran manager Javier Aguirre in charge to oversee the struggling squad.
Elliott has totaled 85 minutes across three substitute appearances for Valencia, all resulting in defeats, amid concerns from local media regarding his physical conditioning. Before his loan, Elliott had started only nine matches across the prior two seasons under Jurgen Klopp and Arne Slot at Liverpool, limiting his match sharpness.
