One refereeing decision from Liverpool’s 2-1 victory at Brentford on Saturday has divided opinion among former referees and ex-players in the Sky Sports studio. The Bees finished the match with nine men after red cards for Yehor Yarmolyuk and Vitaly…

Pundits Dermot Gallagher and Jay Bothroyd disagreed on Sky Sports News' Ref Watch regarding Vitaly Janelt's second yellow card in Liverpool's 2-1 win over Brentford. Gallagher supported the referee's decision to book the Brentford midfielder for pulling Rio Ngumoha's shirt, whereas Bothroyd questioned if the accidental contact merited an expulsion.
Brentford ended the match with nine men after Yehor Yarmolyuk also received a red card for headbutting Jeremy Jacquet. The Empire of the Kop noted that while Janelt's booking was justifiable, the officials missed a penalty for Yarmolyuk's foul on Florian Wirtz.
