Liverpool are in need of reinforcements this winter if they want to compete, and one could be free.
George James of Anfield Watch argues that Liverpool should recall Harvey Elliott from his loan spell at Valencia in January. Liverpool are reportedly dealing with midfield imbalance and a lack of depth on the right wing under manager Andoni Iraola following Mohamed Salah's departure. James suggests that Elliott could address both tactical issues simultaneously without requiring any transfer fee.
The 23-year-old Englishman is currently on loan in La Liga, where he has been limited to four substitute appearances. After a difficult prior loan-to-buy move to Aston Villa, James contends that recalling Elliott would offer the club a cost-effective solution while helping the player revive his career.
