Liverpool have been handed a new injury worry just hours before Tuesday's fixture.
Victor Munoz has emerged as an injury concern for Liverpool after missing training on Monday ahead of Tuesday's Champions League match against Villarreal. Munoz scored Liverpool's equalizer against Brentford over the weekend and required treatment twice before being substituted late on by Joe Gomez.
Manager Andoni Iraola also faces absences with Dominik Szoboszlai, Jeremie Frimpong, Conor Bradley, Giovanni Leoni, and Hugo Ekitike unavailable. As a result, academy players including Michael Laffey, Luke Chambers, James McConnell, and Jayden Danns joined training and are expected among the substitutes.
