An exciting wonderkid is closing in on joining Liverpool's first-team.
Writer Bence Bocsak reports that young Senegalese defender Mor Talla Ndiaye is on the verge of being called up to Andoni Iraola's Liverpool first-team squad. The Senegal Under-17 international, who signed in January, recently scored a stoppage-time winning goal for Liverpool's Under-21 side against West Bromwich Albion.
Bocsak argues that Iraola has revitalized youth development at Liverpool following Arne Slot's departure. With senior players Jeremie Frimpong and Dominik Szoboszlai sidelined by injuries, Bocsak expects Ndiaye to soon earn an opportunity to train or play with the senior team.
