Liverpool player ratings as Will Wright and Luke Chambers impress in narrow setback

Ian Doyle provided player ratings following Liverpool under-21s' narrow 1-0 defeat against Doncaster Rovers in the EFL Trophy on Tuesday evening. Will Wright received an 8 rating after hitting the crossbar from 35 yards, while defender Luke Chambers earned a 7 for a composed display in central defense.

Tommi O'Reilly scored the match's only goal during first-half stoppage time following a Harvey Davies save from Owen Bailey. Managed by Rob Page, Liverpool's under-21s slipped to third in their group and need a result against Huddersfield Town to advance.
