Kyle Walker and Manuel Akanji have both spoken out after Man City were found guilty of breaking Premier League financial regulations

Kyle Walker and Manuel Akanji have reacted after Manchester City were found guilty of breaching Premier League financial regulations between 2009 and 2018. Walker acknowledged the situation "doesn't look great" but insisted the titles won on the pitch cannot be taken away from the squad. An independent commission ruled that over £830 million in owner funding was improperly used, a decision City are appealing before sanctions are decided.
Akanji expressed concern over the possibility of being stripped of titles, though he noted the club told players they have the situation under control. Meanwhile, former Liverpool defender Andy Robertson argued that City's players should not be blamed or stripped of honours, stating they proved their quality on the pitch.
