Liverpool have a fantastic striker ready to join their first-team squad. It’s time, that much is clear.
Liverpool's first-team squad is currently short on attacking options following an injury to striker Hugo Ekitiké. This has left Alexander Isak as the club's only experienced striker, prompting calls for academy prospects to be integrated into the senior squad. Under-21 striker Will Wright is being tipped for a promotion to the first team under manager Andoni Iraola.
The 18-year-old Wright recently starred in Liverpool Under-21s' 5-1 victory over Brighton, scoring twice and providing an assist. He has now recorded five goals and one assist in four Premier League 2 fixtures this season, demonstrating the form and technical ability required to step up to the senior level.
