This could be about to set his future up.
Agents for 18-year-old defender Ifeanyi Ndukwe are traveling to the UK to meet with Liverpool and discuss his next career steps, according to Sky Sports Austria journalist Eric Niederseer. The Austrian center-back, currently on a season-long loan at Spanish club UD Levante, has now accumulated sufficient points to qualify for a UK work permit following his debut in September.
Writer Zak Anderton argues that Liverpool should keep Ndukwe on loan at Levante through the remainder of the season rather than recalling him in January. While Ndukwe has impressed in La Liga, Anderton suggests that regular playing time in Spain will better serve his development compared to sitting on the bench behind Virgil van Dijk and Jeremy Jacquet.
