Liverpool are reportedly in the mix for a very in-demand France star. They’re working towards a deal and it’s one that could cost €90m.
Liverpool are reportedly working toward a permanent deal for AS Roma midfielder Manu Kone, who could cost up to €90m. According to reports from TuttoMercatoWeb and ASRomaLive, Liverpool and Chelsea are viewed as frontrunners for the French midfielder amid broader European interest, including from Paris Saint-Germain.
Alex Caple of Anfield Watch notes that Liverpool are targeting midfield reinforcements after losing Curtis Jones to Inter without securing a replacement. However, Caple argues against the potential €90m move, stating that Kone plays similarly to Ryan Gravenberch and does not provide the defensive specialty the team needs.
