Manchester United host Tottenham in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon as the top-flight returns from the extended international break

Manchester United have reportedly enquired about potentially re-signing midfielder Scott McTominay from Napoli as early as January. Meanwhile, Sir Alex Ferguson has revealed in his new book that he regrets not convincing Pep Guardiola to succeed him at Old Trafford during a 2012 dinner in New York before the manager opted for Bayern Munich.
McTominay is currently negotiating a new deal with Napoli but remains open to an English return, with Aston Villa and Real Madrid also linked. Additionally, United prepare to host Tottenham on Saturday, where £70 million summer signing Carlos Baleba could make his debut under manager Michael Carrick.
