Manchester City have won eight games on the spin since a defeat in the Community Shield
Manchester Evening News writer Alex James highlights Enzo Maresca's tactical substitutions as a driving force behind Manchester City's perfect start to the Premier League season. After replacing Pep Guardiola in the summer, Maresca has guided City to six wins from six matches, sitting three points clear at the top of the table.
The writer argues that Maresca's timely in-game adjustments have consistently paid off, pointing to Jeremy Doku's match-winning impact off the bench against Liverpool. James also notes successful substitute interventions in previous matches against Manchester United, Bournemouth, and Porto.
