Erling Haaland was substituted off in the 67th minute of Norway's 2-1 loss to Portugal in the Nations League

Manchester City striker Erling Haaland was substituted in the 67th minute of Norway's 2-1 defeat against Portugal after asking to come off. Norway manager Stale Solbakken clarified that the substitution was due to fatigue rather than an injury, easing concerns ahead of Manchester City's upcoming Premier League match against Liverpool at Anfield.
Solbakken explained that Haaland experienced fatigue after playing heavy minutes, which was exacerbated by a shortened off-season following the World Cup. Haaland and teammates Sander Berge, Martin Odegaard, and Kristoffer Ajer quickly departed on a private plane to rest, with Haaland having just over a week before facing Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain.
