Manchester City have been told by Gary Lineker that they could lose their four Premier League titles if an appeal is unsuccessful

Former Premier League striker Gary Lineker stated he would not be surprised if Manchester City are stripped of titles following findings related to their financial breaches. Speaking at Leaders Week London 2026 at Stamford Bridge, Lineker described the situation as damaging and urged the club to accept their punishment, warning that fans and players will suffer the most.
The Premier League recently confirmed findings against Manchester City stemming from an eight-week hearing held in late 2024. Despite the case, City reportedly spent around £400 million over the summer, while rival clubs including Arsenal, Liverpool, Tottenham, and Manchester United have reserved the legal right to seek compensation.
