Manchester City are appealing the guilty verdict in the 115 charges case

Manchester City have formally appealed after an independent commission found the club guilty of most charges concerning alleged sham sponsorship agreements worth £830 million. A new three-person commission will review the verdict without re-hearing the full case. While Premier League guidelines outline a hearing within 12 weeks, the complex nature of the proceedings could extend the timeframe.
Journalist Simon Bajkowski reports that City view the initial verdict as unsafe and believe they have strong evidence to overturn it. The club argues that sponsorship funding shortfalls were covered by the Abu Dhabi government rather than disguised equity from City executives, which they maintain complies with league regulations.
