Football finance expert Kieran Maguire has warned Manchester City that a potential points deduction could be 'multiple double figures'

Finance expert Kieran Maguire stated on the Market Madness podcast that Manchester City could face multiple double-figure points deductions if an independent commission's guilty verdict on financial rule breaches is upheld on appeal. Maguire highlighted that alleged artificial commercial revenue could represent a £350 million difference over rolling three-year periods, far exceeding prior breaches by Everton and Nottingham Forest.
Maguire noted that potential financial claims and legal costs could exceed one billion pounds, while rival Premier League clubs are reportedly frustrated by delays affecting Champions League qualification. However, he warned that rival clubs voting to expel Manchester City would carry serious legal risks and substantial costs.
