Manchester CIty were found guilty of all but one of the 115 charges brought against them by the Premier League

An expert on the United Arab Emirates predicts Manchester City owner Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan could sell the club following a guilty verdict on 114 of 115 Premier League charges. Author Christopher M Davidson suggested the Abu Dhabi ruling family would feel embarrassed by the ruling and might look to extricate themselves if City's appeal is unsuccessful.
Manchester City have maintained their innocence, confirming an appeal was lodged on October 1, 2026, against the independent commission's findings. Despite chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak previously stating in June that there was no intention to sell, potential penalties could range from points deductions and stripped titles to Premier League expulsion.
