Royad Mahrez could be about to join a new club more than three years after leaving Manchester City to move to the Saudi Pro League
Former Manchester City winger Riyad Mahrez is reportedly set to join Qatari top-flight side Al Shamal SC on a free transfer. The 35-year-old became a free agent following the expiration of his contract with Saudi Pro League outfit Al Ahli earlier this year. The move would see Mahrez link up with former Arsenal defender Pablo Mari.
Mahrez previously spent three seasons in Saudi Arabia after completing a £30 million transfer from Manchester City in 2023. During his stint at Al Ahli, he registered 37 goals in 122 matches, following a trophy-laden spell in England that included three Premier League titles and a Champions League victory.
