Alejandro Balde’s decision timeline confirmed as crucial conditions emerge for a potential winter switch to United

Barcelona left-back Alejandro Balde is reportedly aiming to decide on a January transfer during December, with his agent Jorge Mendes currently exploring potential options across Europe. According to Spanish outlet Sport, Balde prefers a switch to the Premier League after struggling for regular playing time under Barcelona. His representatives are pitching a loan deal featuring an option or conditional obligation to buy, rather than an outright permanent transfer.

Manchester United, Liverpool, and Aston Villa have reportedly been informed of the proposed transfer conditions, though none have reached a final decision. Writer Daniel Onguko argues that Manchester United must act decisively in the winter window to resolve their left-back depth issues, noting that a loan arrangement for Balde would offer a sensible short-term solution.
