Manchester United target Lewis Hall reveals why he rejected a summer move to Old Trafford, explaining his loyalty to Newcastle United.

Newcastle United left-back Lewis Hall has explained his decision to reject interest from Manchester United and remain at St. James' Park this summer. Manchester United had reportedly targeted the English defender for a permanent transfer as a long-term replacement for Luke Shaw. Instead of moving, Hall signed a contract extension with Newcastle.
Hall credited the arrival and ambition of new Newcastle manager Matthias Jaissle, who replaced Eddie Howe, as the primary reason for his stay. The full-back made 47 appearances across all competitions during the 2025/26 campaign, recording one goal and two assists.
