Manchester United's battle to keep JJ Gabriel rumbles on as Bayern Munich reportedly enter the race

Bayern Munich has entered the race to sign 16-year-old JJ Gabriel from Manchester United on a permanent deal, though the club is reportedly unwilling to meet his seven-figure salary demands. Head coach Vincent Kompany is an admirer of the teenager, who is eligible to move abroad immediately due to holding an EU passport after requesting to leave Old Trafford.
Manchester United has refused to terminate Gabriel's contract, limiting his ability to join a domestic rival until the summer. European heavyweights Barcelona and Real Madrid are also pursuing the forward, while United could receive around £300,000 in international compensation if Gabriel signs with an overseas club.
