Benjamin Sesko at centre of row as Wayne Rooney sides with Man United legends

Wayne Rooney has joined former Manchester United teammates Paul Scholes and Nicky Butt in questioning the severity of Benjamin Sesko's shin injury. Sesko missed United's recent draw against Fulham and subsequently withdrew from the Slovenia national team squad following an assessment noted by head coach Michael Carrick.

Rooney voiced his criticisms on his Stick to United podcast, arguing that players should push through injuries unless physically unable to compete. In response to earlier criticisms from Scholes and Butt, Slovenia teammate Jaka Bijol defended the striker, while Sesko confirmed on Instagram that he is focusing on recovery.
