Chelsea defender Maxence Lacroix and Manchester United center-back Leny Yoro are competing to start for France against Belgium in the Nations League. The opening in Zinedine Zidane's starting lineup comes after Bayern Munich central defender Dayot Upamecano received a red card against Italy, earning an automatic one-match ban and an early release from camp.
Lacroix is considered the favorite to start alongside Jeremy Jacquet after being substituted on following Upamecano's dismissal. However, Zidane could instead hand a senior international debut to Yoro, who earned a maiden call-up after Real Madrid's Ibrahima Konate withdrew with an injury.
