Manchester United's Ella Toone has received an incredible England boost after an initial setback, it has now been confirmed.
Manchester United forward Ella Toone has received a call-up to the England national squad to replace injured Chelsea defender Lucy Bronze. Bronze sustained an injury during Chelsea's Women's Super League victory over West Ham on Sunday, forcing her withdrawal ahead of England's upcoming matches.
Toone was initially omitted from manager Sarina Wiegman's squad alongside several high-profile players. She now joins international teammates, including United colleagues Jess Park and Maya Le Tissier, for England's two-legged FIFA Women's World Cup qualifying play-off against Greece.
