As Man United's woes persist, former PL star Danny Murphy has proposed a radical solution to Michael Carrick that could fix the situation.

Former Premier League player Danny Murphy has urged Manchester United manager Michael Carrick to reinforce his midfield to solve the team's ongoing struggles. Speaking on BBC Match of the Day, Murphy suggested dropping a forward to create a three-man central midfield after United's 1-1 draw against Tottenham Hotspur, arguing that the current setup leaves too much space for opponents to exploit.
Manchester United have collected only six points from six league matches this season. Murphy noted that Kobbie Mainoo and Youri Tielemans struggle to cover ground against opposing three-man midfields, an assessment echoed by pundit Gary Neville, while Carrick faces mounting pressure ahead of an upcoming fixture against Atletico Madrid.
