Michael Carrick retains the Manchester United board's confidence ahead of the Champions League clash with Atletico Madrid, despite recent poor results.
Fabrizio Romano reports that the Manchester United board is continuing to back Michael Carrick despite mounting pressure. Speaking on his YouTube channel, Romano stated that the club hierarchy is giving Carrick time and confidence, believing that the squad remains supportive of the manager ahead of their Champions League match against Atletico Madrid.
Manchester United currently sit in the bottom half of the Premier League table after earning only six points from their first six games, having also exited the Carabao Cup. Romano noted that the upcoming weeks before the next international break will be critical for Carrick to turn results around.
